What Time Is It, Mr. Fox_ Time to Edit This Template Style! Blog Header

In the video below, we’re going to take a look at the basic structure of our Timeline Dates Storyline template, and how to make simple edits like changing the text in the file.

This Timeline Dates template is available in all of our new Template Styles. We have tons of new Template Styles—here are just a few examples.

First, let’s look at the structure of the Timeline Dates template.

This is a single screen template, with four buttons on the base layer and four corresponding content layers. To edit the content in the introduction text box or timeline buttons, select those elements and type away!

To edit the content for timeline points, navigate to the appropriate layer and select the CONTENT text box.

Each of the timeline points is a custom vector SL shape and can be edited or changed as desired.

In this template, the number of dates is fixed to 4. You can delete the triggers from any of the timeline buttons to adjust this. Make sure to remove the text in that point and double-check the states triggers on content layers as well.

And that’s it! This template is so easy to edit and make your own.
