Are you ready for some more great tips for speeding up development in Storyline? Then you’re in the right place! Let’s pick up where we left off. We have our player, theme, scenes and assessments built. What’s next? It’s time to build out our master slides. After reviewing your storyboard, earmark any slides that are reused multiple times. Slides like these I like to create a Master Slide for. To do this simply go to View – Slide Master. Here you can customize and create multiple Master Slides for your project.
Now how do you assign a slide in your project a “Master Slide?” You can do this one of two ways. One, you can create a new slide by going to Home – New Slide – Basic Layouts (in here you will find your slide masters to pick from). Otherwise, if you have already created your slide, right click on your slide and go to Layout – and select the Master Slide you would like applied.
What about your Feedback Master? Did you know you can customize the look/feel of your quiz question feedback? It’s super easy. Simply go to View – Feedback Master, and customize away. Getting all these things completed at the beginning of your course will allow you to work efficiently throughout the rest of your build.
In case you’re not convinced, know that we use these tips in our own development! Our Customizable Courseware library incorporates Master Slides whenever possible to make them quicker for you to edit and customize.
