captivate templates

Creating eLearning courses day in and day out can be a daunting—and sometimes repetitive—task. What do you do when you’re looking for a fresh look to your latest Adobe Captivate course? Take a look at the over 300 eLearning templates we provide in the Assets section of Adobe Captivate 9, of course! Out of the over 40 different layout templates, we wanted to highlight a Fresh one just for you that has a few additional Captivate templates to match it. Take a look below!

This layout template comes in a smooth olive green color accented by dark gray, white, and the occasional blue. It comes with a numerous amount of sample slides for you to use with your content. There are multiple title slides, outlines, module titles, cycle/process charts, and a conclusion and review slide. Plug in your content and make adjustments to the template that best match your needs. Change the size and position of objects to better fit your text and, if you like, adjust the coloring to better match your business or brand. These layout templates make it easy.

But say that you want to add a little more interactivity to what it is you’re doing. No problem. We have five additional templates in the same theme that do more than just present text.

The first up is this drag and drop template. It does as you would expect, allowing your learner to select from five possible answers for two different questions. It also has an area where you can provide remediation and feedback for the user. You can even follow up the activity with a conclusion screen that debriefs the user on expected outcomes for the situation you provided beforehand.

Sometimes, you need to present a scenario with multiple opportunities for input and potentially even multiple outcomes based on that input. Well, look no further than these two templates. The first one places two individuals in a conversation where a conflict has come up and must be resolved. You can use the cutout people included in this template, or any of the others included in the Asset library found with your subscription to Captivate.

If people aren’t your flavor, the second scenario template is right up your alley. It gives you the same type of interaction, but more space for text or images that you find more relevant to your content. Choose the one that fits your needs best!

Perhaps you want a way to more clearly present information than using a bunch of slides in a row. You can easily organize information into categories on one slide with a click and reveal template. We have two templates in this Fresh theme (one with buttons across the top and another with buttons on the left) that allow you to sort your content to give your learner a more clear understanding of its purpose. For instance, if you have a process that requires a user to follow a certain number of steps, these click and reveal templates can be a great time-saver. Just plug in each step, perhaps with an image or video to accompany it, and label them appropriately to give your learner an easily built how-to course.

Of course, each of these templates are responsive, built natively in Captivate 9. No matter what your platform needs, these Fresh templates can help shake off the dusty feeling of doing the same drab thing over and over. Do you have a favorite template that you like to use to spice up your eLearning life? Share it with us in the comments!
