3 Ways to Cure Seasonal Affective Disorder_Blog Header

Hopefully, you are feeling the holiday spirit right now and getting excited for some vacation days and the chance to spend some quality time with all your friends and family over Christmas cookies and a hot chocolate (or a hot toddy!). But there’s a chance that—depending on where you live—the days are gray and short and you’re feeling a little glum. If that’s you, know that you’re not alone. Many people experience seasonal affective disorder around this time of year. Experts believe that less sunlight during fall and winter leads to the brain making less serotonin, a chemical linked to brain pathways that regulate mood.

We definitely don’t claim to be doctors, but today we have 3 suggestions that we think will help cheer you up.

1. Free Templates

Everyone likes presents, right? Get yourself some nice goodies from our Free Library! Sign up for a free membership and get access to over 100 eLearning
templates and assets. You’ll receive projects and files built natively in Storyline, Captivate, Lectora, Powerpoint, Presenter, and more. Whatever your preferred tool is, you’ll be able to find resources for it! Sign up now.

2. Learn Something New

Take your mind off the weather and focus on learning a new skill. Check out our recorded webinars for how-to topics like creating graphics in PowerPoint, improving your eLearning writing, and more. Or visit our Support page for tutorials on using different templates. Successfully mastering a new skill or technique always gives me a lift!

3. Win an iPad

Winning definitely produces serotonin, even when it’s just a low-stakes foosball game in the office. However, we have something a bit more exciting than that to offer…a FREE, fully-loaded eLearning iPad! What do you think? Would a free iPad boost your happiness this holiday season? If you think so, then you need to hurry up and enter to win! We’re giving away one iPad a day each business day until NEXT FRIDAY. Slots are filling up quickly. All you have to do is schedule a demo with us to talk about any of our eLearning solutions and you’ll be entered to win.

I have one last thing for you in case none of these ideas increased your happiness.
