On The Road Again- CES Highlights

Some of my favorite memories from college are the spontaneous road trips my roommates and I would take. Nothing bonds people more than consuming mass amounts of caffeine and sugar while getting lost together. Today on the eLearning Brothers Blog I’m here to tell you that spontaneous road trips don’t have to be limited to your college years. In fact, when you’re an eLearning Rockstar you can even make a spontaneous road trip count as “work.”

Our fearless leaders, Andrew Scivally, Curtis Morley, and Zach Batty recently took a spontaneous road trip to the annual CES conference in Las Vegas, Nevada to scope out the newest technological innovations that could influence or benefit the eLearning world.

What is CES? Produced by the Consumer Technology Association, “CES is the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years—the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace.”

Watch the video below to get a glimpse of how the eLearning Brothers road trip went and to see some of the cool inventions the team checked out at CES. They saw some really neat stuff, although we here at eLearning Brothers are very disappointed they didn’t bring back a robot butler to deliver us all snacks at our desks throughout the day. Oh well, there’s always next year!

The team also recently hit up a more local conference, the Silicon Slopes Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is another great tech conference with inspiring speakers from companies like Adobe, Slack, Facebook, and more. It is definitely conference season right now! We’re taking notes at all these conferences we attend. As you may have heard, we’re hosting our very first user conference this summer, eLBX co-located with Learning DevCamp and we want it to be the best conference ever! We hope we’ll see you there, or at some of the other upcoming conferences we’re attending.
