captivate intros

Seems like just yesterday we had new fancy animated Captivate intros to show you, but the boys and girls in the graphics department have been hard at work creating more and more innovative ways to open your captivate courses. Today we are happy to showcase two recent additions to the Captivate Intro Library that truly pack a punch, getting learners energized for the course.

“In a world where eLearning is illegal… One developer will challenge the status quo… Rising above the rest… To become… THE INSTRUCTOR-ATOR! Dun nuh nuhnuhnuhnuh! Gshh Gshh! [Obligatory “Inception”-style bass drop]”

With a spinning film reel fading into view over a masterful screen wipe, our new Film intro brings a pounding, primal drum beat, characteristic of blockbuster action flicks, leaving the learner wondering whether they’re about to witness a workplace safety course or a knock-down-drag-out fistfight between two super-powered rivals.

It’s a commonly cited fact that 90 percent of an iceberg lies below the surface of the water. If you find yourself sailing the open sea at a particularly high latitude, you should know that 1) You are an extremely awesome individual and I’m envious of your lifestyle, and 2) Those semi-truck-sized behemoths you see gliding across the glassy waters are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Something nine times its size lurks beneath the water, waiting to wreck your ship.

The Iceberg animated intro pictures a jagged tower of ice piercing the water, punctuated by a steady percussive rhythm, indicative of an impending adventure. With an eyeful of one of these natural marvels right at the beginning of the course, your learners will be reminded that this introduction, while majestic, is just the appetizer to something much more substantial.
