Trade and business are what drive the economy. Most business happens in offices large and small throughout the world, whether these be small businesses operating out of someone’s apartment or Fortune 500 companies based in gargantuan skyscrapers. These office jobs, scattered throughout many industries, are where the mental muscles are truly flexed with workers and managers alike typing away, sending messages, balancing accounts, and directing the logistics of the company’s business plans.
With so many jobs wrapped up in this sector of the workforce, training is essential. Every business has its own needs and goals, so it’s imperative that new employees be indoctrinated into the company culture, and given a firm understanding of their day-to-day responsibilities. This presents a wonderful opportunity for eLearning. If you’re going to teach business, you might as well give your learners an idea of what their going to be dealing with. That’s why we made these awesome business-related Storyline templates: for you to efficiently onboard your new hires and get down to business.
This template is modeled after a spiral-bound notebook but with a slick minimalist design. Learners are given a scenario: someone needs you to send an invoice before they can approve a shipment. You need to send the correct document out of the three presented to make sure the transaction goes off without a hitch. If you send the wrong document, you risk souring the business deal. If you send the correct one, you are golden!
You can also make adjustments to the Decision Making template. It doesn’t have to be the exact scenario described above, seeing as this template could work for any situation in which a specific document needs to go to a specific place. You can differentiate the selection of documents as well, ensuring that the scenario remains germane to your business.
File Folder is a relatively simply interactive scenario. Learners are shown a file that outlines a situation for their consideration. With the info given, the learner is asked to make a decision from a series of options. If they answer correctly, the document is given a green Approved stamp, whereas incorrect documents will be Rejected.
If you want to get really creative, you could even give this template a fun spy theme. Just change up some fonts and replace the image under the paperclip with a mugshot or covert photograph of some kind, and you have a dossier!
If you’re looking for a more modern take on our File Folder template, check out Finance. Learners are presented with a simulated tablet sitting on a desk full of papers and asked to choose an option based on the information onscreen. Finance has several different options for format and layout of the interactive scenarios presented. Remediation slides give a more close-up view of the tablet screen, creating a more immersive environment, and allowing them to focus on the actual content of the remediation rather than its setting.
