These days, cars are an important commodity. Though the form and exact role these vehicles play in our lives is shifting and evolving, we will always have need for transportation. And as long as there are machines taking us from Point A to Point B, we will need to have people who understand their inner-workings and who can fix them when they malfunction.

With those constants, in place, it only makes sense that we as eLearning experts will need to be there to train the next generation of mechanics. Today we’re featuring two interactive Articulate Storyline templates that can help you create some high-octane eLearning.

Click and Reveal

To the uninitiated, a car engine feels like an extremely complicated piece of machinery, filled with interconnected gadgets and alien gizmos, so as to be nearly impossible to parse at a quick glance. To combat that learning curve, try having your learners practice with our click-and-reveal module designed specifically to explore the parts of an engine. This illustration is intricate enough to allow close-ups at various points throughout the machine.

With each close-up, you can get into the nitty-gritty of the individual parts shown. You can alter the text to suit your specific course objectives and match your unique eLearning voice.

Drag and Drop

Learners must drop the labels into the corresponding corresponding boxes to match each part of the car’s body. While this particular diagram is relatively easy, you can juice it up after the fact by referring to specific models and part names. For instance, instead of “Headlight,” you might position the pointer at a certain area of the headlight and change the label to “Headlight Housing”, “Headlight Cover”, and so on.
