captivate 9 themes

Surely you’ve heard the phrase “dress to impress” at one point in your life or another. If you really want people to know what kind of person you are, you need to dress the part. That’s not to say you need to dress all arrogant and snooty–unless you really want people to know that you’re arrogant and snooty. But think back to high school. Your outfit spoke volumes about which clique you belonged to. Have you ever tried to sit at the preppy table while wearing your goth makeup? It’s nigh impossible!

eLearning templates follow a similar pattern. Certain designs work better with certain subject matters, certain audiences, and even certain devices. That’s why we’re showcasing 3 stylin’ Captivate 9 themes that will impress even the best dressed.

You wanted something sleek and modern? You got it.  Flat geometric shapes with just a touch of shadow, and a watery color scheme of greens, blues, whites, and grays create an aesthetic of cool and contemporary. Chic projects both playfulness and buttoned-up business, which isn’t an easy feat.

Simplicity is is the ultimate sophistication.
-Leonardo da Vinci

Here we have the idyllic sight of a sailboat drifting across a glassy harbor. The monochromatic color scheme removes enough detail to make the text really pop, but leaves enough that that you don’t lose sight of the serene image in the background. The luxurious focal piece of the Simple theme makes for a good financial course. Teach your learners the basics of saving money or investing in the stock market, all with the subtle implication that they can attain the wealth suggested by the illustration if they play their cards right.

There is more than one way to be Classy, even with the same Captivate theme. These intimidating yet majestic mountains can inspire a couple different feelings. The first is the posh atmosphere of a corporate ski trip. Imagine you and your business partners discussing quarterly sales projections while swishing your way through the crisp alpine air. Now bottle that feeling and plug it into Captivate 9. Right there, you have this stellar theme.

On the flip side, you have the rugged outdoorsy feel that mountains bring to mind. For eons, mountains have represented barriers, tribulations, and accomplishments. Our language is full of phrases that attest to that fact (my mountain to climb, all downhill from here, mountains out of molehills, etc.). This theme makes for a good visual representation when you want to convey strength through adversity or motivation when faced with a large task. And what is more classy than that?
